Synopsis

Waack 4 Me explores the revival of the 1970's expressive dance form which was first popularized by Soul Train, and is now being embraced by women and LGBT communities around the world.

Yingqian Chen grew up in China, surrounded by her grandfather's newspaper clippings and books, which led her to fall in love with storytelling.  His personal stories of persecution during the Chinese Cultural Revolution instilled in her the power journalism has to expose the truth.  Yingqian is a former semi-professional Latin dancer.

Ony Nwaohuocha is a lawyer, journalist and speaker.  Her passion has led her to work with nonprofit organizations towards advancing social change in Africa, and other parts of the world.  Ony uses multimedia platforms to promote social entrepreneurship, and tell stories of people living in Africa and the Diaspora.
