Rigged

Synopsis

Rigged is an investigative documentary that examines the construction industry in New York amid the city’s ambitious affordable housing plan. It tells the stories of human collateral on taxpayer-subsidized housing projects, documenting the experiences of an underpaid and exploited workforce as they build this city.

Russell Midori

Russell Midori is a native New Yorker and an international conflict reporter. He has worked for the New York Times, VICE on HBO, and as a Marine Corps combat photographer. He received a 2016 Overseas Press Club Scholarship for his reporting on the Haitian presidential elections. He completed both the documentary program and the investigative journalism program at Columbia University.

Sarah Erickson

Sarah Erickson is a journalist and documentary filmmaker from Boulder, Colorado. She works full-time as a senior editor at CNN’s Great Big Story and will graduate this spring with her master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University. Previously she worked as a digital editor at Condé Nast Entertainment and helped launch the company’s flagship video platform, The Scene.
